agree to the terms and policies set forth herein.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Yanegi ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, shares, and
protects your personal data when you use the Yanegi mobile application (launched April
2026) and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). This Policy complies with the Digital
Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") of India and reflects global best practices
including GDPR-aligned standards.
By accessing or using Yanegi, you consent to the collection and use of your information as
described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Information We Collect
1 Personal Information
When you register and use Yanegi, we collect:
- Full name and display username
- Email address and phone number
- Date of birth (to verify you meet our minimum age requirement)
- Profile photograph and bio
- Gender (optional, self-declared)
2 Location Data
Location data is classified as sensitive personal data under the DPDP Act, 2023. We collect it
only with your explicit consent and for defined purposes.
- Precise GPS location (collected in real-time when you use the Discover Nearby
Events feature)
- Approximate location derived from IP address (used for general region -based event
recommendations)
- Saved locations (e.g., home city or preferred areas, if you choose to set them)
3 Event Data
- Events you create: title, description, date, time, location, photos, and tags
- Events you join or express interest in
- Your attendance history and event participation records
4 Chat and Communication Data
- Messages sent and received in event-specific group chats
- Reports submitted against other users or events
5 Device and Technical Data
- Device type, operating system, and version
- App version and unique device identifiers
- IP address, network type, crash logs, and performance data
6 Usage Data
- Features you interact with and how you navigate the Platform
- Search queries entered within the app
- Timestamps of logins, event interactions, and in-app actions
7 Payment Data (Future Feature)
If payment features are introduced, processing will be handled by certified third -party
payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay, Stripe). Yanegi will not store full card details. We will
only retain transaction reference IDs and amounts for our records.
Purpose of Data Collection
We collect and process your personal data solely for the following purposes:
Account Creation and Authentication: To create, manage, and secure your Yanegi
account.
Age Verification: To ensure all users meet the minimum age requirement under
applicable law.
Event Discovery and Hosting: To show you nearby events, allow any user to create
and host events, and manage event participation.
Location-Based Services: To display relevant events near your location. Location
data is processed only when you actively use location-dependent features.
In-App Communications: To enable event group chats between users.
Safety and Trust: To investigate reports of abuse, illegal content, or policy violations,
and to enforce our Community Guidelines.
Platform Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, and improve app
performance.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable Indian laws, court orders, and
regulatory requirements including the DPDP Act, 2023.
Customer Support: To respond to your queries, complaints, or requests.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their marketing or
commercial purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing (DPDP Act Compliance)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process your personal data on the
following grounds:
- Consent: For collection of location data, optional profile information, and
communications.
- Contractual Necessity: To provide the services you have signed up for.
- Legitimate Interest: For fraud prevention, platform safety, and internal analytics.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with requests from law enforcement or government
authorities as required by law.
Sharing of Personal Data
1 With Other Users
- Your display name and profile photo are visible to other users.
- Events you host are publicly visible to all users within the Platform.
- Messages sent in event chats are visible to all participants of that event.
- Your exact location is never shared with other users. Only the general area of events
you host is visible.
2 With Third-Party Service Providers
- Mapping Services (e.g., Google Maps API): To display event locations and nearby
events.
- Analytics Providers (e.g., Firebase Analytics): To understand app usage patterns.
Data is anonymised where possible.
- Cloud Infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud): To host and store app data securely.
- Payment Gateway (future): A certified PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.
- Customer Support Tools: To manage support tickets.
3 With Law Enforcement and Authorities
We may disclose your personal data to government authorities or courts where required
by law, including under the DPDP Act, 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Data Retention
- Active Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active.
- Event Data: Retained for 2 years after event conclusion, then deleted or anonymised.
- Chat Messages: Retained for 1 year from the date of the message, then permanently
deleted.
- Location Data: Real-time location is not stored persistently.
- Deleted Account Data: Personal data deleted within 30 days of account deletion,
except where legally required.
- Safety Records: Reports, bans, and moderation decisions may be retained for up to 5
years to prevent policy evasion.
- Transaction Records: Retained for up to 7 years for financial and tax compliance.
Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023
As a Data Principal, you have the following rights:
Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention
obligations.
Right to Grievance Redressal: Raise a complaint regarding the processing of your
personal data.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw previously given consent for data processing
at any time.
Right to Nominate: Nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your
behalf.

Security Practices
- All data transmissions are encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocols.
- Sensitive data is stored in encrypted form using AES-256 or equivalent encryption.
- Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need -to-know
basis.
- We conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection
Board of India within prescribed timelines.
Minors' Privacy
Yanegi requires all users to meet the minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly
collect personal data from individuals who do not meet this requirement. If we become
aware that such a user has registered, we will immediately delete that account and
associated data. Please report concerns to supportyanegi@gmail.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material
changes through the app or via email at least 15 days before the changes take effect.
Contact and Grievance Officer
- Response Time: Within 30 days of receipt
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to the Data
Protection Board of India once operational under the DPDP Act, 2023.

Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you
("User") and Yanegi ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the
Yanegi mobile application, launched in April 2026. By creating an account or using any
part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound
by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, registering, or using the Yanegi application, you agree to these
Terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately stop
using the Platform and delete your account.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material
changes at least 15 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after
that date constitutes acceptance.
Eligibility
You must be of legal age to enter into a binding contract under the laws of India
(Indian Contract Act, 1872).
By registering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements applicable in
your jurisdiction.
You must have the authority and legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
If we discover that a user does not meet eligibility requirements, we reserve the right
to terminate the account.
Nature of the Platform — Intermediary Status
Yanegi is a technology platform and intermediary as defined under the Information
Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and
Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Yanegi facilitates event discovery, event hosting by
any user, and communication between users.
- Yanegi does not organize, plan, manage, or supervise any events listed on the
Platform.
- Yanegi does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, legality, safety, or
authenticity of any event, user, or content.
- All events are entirely created, managed, and conducted by users acting
independently.
- Any registered user may create and host events on the Platform.
Yanegi is not responsible for any incident, injury, loss, damage, dispute, or legal violation arising
from real-world events organized through the Platform. Users participate in events entirely at
their own risk.
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to any other person.
One user may hold only one active account.
Notify us immediately at supportyanegi@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to
your account.
Event Hosting — Rights and Responsibilities
1 Any User Can Host
Any registered user on Yanegi may create and host events. As a host, you agree that you:
Are solely responsible for the planning, organization, safety, and conduct of your
event.
Will ensure your event complies with all applicable local, state, and national laws.
Will provide accurate and truthful information about your event.
Will not host events that involve or promote illegal activities or behaviors.
Will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of attendees.
Acknowledge that Yanegi assumes no liability for the conduct or outcome of your
event.
2 Prohibited Events
- Events involving or promoting illegal drugs or controlled substances
- Events involving prostitution, sexual solicitation, or any form of trafficking
- Events promoting violence, terrorism, or extremist ideology
- Events designed to facilitate fraud, scams, or financial exploitation
- Events targeting or intended to harm specific individuals or groups
- Events with false, misleading, or deceptive descriptions
- Events that violate any applicable law
User Conduct
You will not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
You will not harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse any other user.
You will not impersonate any person or entity.
You will not post content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise
objectionable.
You will not upload or distribute malware or harmful code.
You will not attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Platform.
You will not engage in spamming, commercial solicitation, or unsolicited
promotions.
User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of all content you post on the Platform ("User Content"). By posting
User Content, you grant Yanegi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable
license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content solely for the purpose of
operating and improving the Platform.
You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any third -party rights
or applicable law. Yanegi reserves the right, but is not obligated, to review, modify, or
remove any User Content that violates these Terms.
Yanegi is not responsible for User Content posted by users. The posting user bears full legal
responsibility for their content.
Platform Rights — Suspension and Termination
Yanegi reserves the right to:
Warn, suspend, or permanently ban any user for violations of these Terms or
Community Guidelines.
Remove any event listing, message, or content that violates our policies.
Terminate your account without prior notice for severe or repeated violations.
Report illegal activity to relevant law enforcement authorities.
Appeal a ban or suspension by contacting: supportyanegi@gmail.com. We will review appeals
within 14 business days.
Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully. It significantly affects your legal rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law:
Yanegi shall not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, financial loss, or
any other harm arising from real-world events organized through the Platform.
Yanegi shall not be liable for any harm arising from interactions between users.
Yanegi's total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed INR 1,000 or the
amount you paid to Yanegi in the 3 months preceding the claim, whichever is higher.
Yanegi is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive
damages of any kind.
Nothing in this clause limits liability for personal injury or death caused by our gross negligence
or fraud, as required by Indian law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yanegi, its affiliates, officers, employees, and
agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out
of or related to: your use of the Platform, events you host or attend, cont ent you post, or
your violation of these Terms.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the
exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. Before initiating legal proceedings, contact us at
supportyanegi@gmail.com to attempt informal resolution within 30 days.
Building a Safe, Respectful, and Genuine Community
Community Guidelines

Community Guidelines
These Community Guidelines ensure that Yanegi remains a safe, inclusive, and authentic
platform for everyone. All users — whether hosting, attending, or browsing events — are
expected to follow these guidelines at all times. Violations may result in conten t removal,
account suspension, or permanent banning.
Event Creation Rules
1 Anyone Can Create an Event
Yanegi is an open platform where any registered user can create and host events — from
casual hangouts, dog walks, and sports meetups to parties, networking events, and
community gatherings. We encourage creativity and community. With that freedom
comes responsibility.
2 What Makes a Good Event
- Clear, accurate title and description
- Real, accessible event location truthfully stated
- Accurate dates, times, and capacity limits
- Upfront disclosure of any entry fee or participation cost
- Clear communication of the intended audience and nature of the event
3 Prohibited Events
- Events involving or encouraging illegal drugs or controlled substances
- Events promoting sexual solicitation, prostitution, or human trafficking
- Events glorifying or facilitating violence, terrorism, or extremist ideologies
- Events designed to scam, defraud, or exploit attendees
- Events intentionally fake, misleading, or designed to lure people under false
pretenses
- Events violating local laws regarding public gatherings, fire safety, or venue licensing
4 Sensitive Events
- Late-night parties and rave events must clearly state the nature of the event and
must not promote illegal substance use.
- Events involving alcohol must comply with local liquor licensing laws and must
disclose alcohol in the event description.
- Events at private residences must have a legitimate hosting purpose and not be
used as cover for illegal activity.
Chat and Messaging Rules
1 Prohibited Chat Behavior
- No harassment, threats, bullying, or intimidation
- No hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory language targeting any person's race,
religion, gender, sexual orientation, caste, nationality, or disability
- No sexual solicitation or unsolicited explicit content
- No spam, repetitive messages, or commercial solicitation
- No sharing of another user's personal information without their consent (doxxing)
- No links to malware, phishing sites, or illegal content
- No coordination or planning of illegal activity
- No impersonation of other users or official figures
Authenticity and Honesty
- Use a consistent identity. Impersonation of others is strictly prohibited.
- Profile photos must be genuine and not use images of others without consent.
- Do not create fake events or misleading attendee information.
- Do not engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior.
Respect for Privacy
- Do not photograph or film attendees at events without their consent.
- Do not share photos or videos of identifiable individuals without their permission.
- Do not share another user's contact details or private information obtained through
the Platform.
Consequences for Violations
Minor Violations: Warning issued, content removed or edited.
Moderate Violations (e.g., repeated offences, harassment, misleading events): Temporary
account suspension (3–30 days), event removal, restrictions on hosting privileges.
Severe Violations (e.g., illegal events, serious harassment, fraud): Immediate and
permanent account ban, reporting to law enforcement, prohibition on creating new
accounts.
Moderators evaluate each case on its merits. Consequences may be escalated based on
severity, pattern of behavior, and harm caused.
Enforcement and Appeals
Our Trust and Safety team reviews reports and enforces these Guidelines. Users who
believe their content was removed or account suspended in error may appeal by
contacting supportyanegi@gmail.com within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed within 14 business
days.

Safety & Reporting Policy
Yanegi is committed to creating a platform where users can discover and attend events
safely. This policy explains how you can report unsafe content or behavior, how we
respond, and what steps you can take to protect yourself when meeting others in person.
How to Report
Navigate to the event listing or user profile you wish to report.
Tap the three-dot menu or flag icon.
Select "Report" and choose a reason from the list.
Add additional details or evidence (screenshots, description).
Submit your report.
You may also report by email at supportyanegi@gmail.com.
What You Can Report
- Fake, misleading, or dangerous events
- Events promoting illegal activities
- Harassment, threats, or abusive messages
- Users who do not meet eligibility requirements
- Impersonation or identity fraud
- Non-consensual sharing of images or personal data
- Scams or financial fraud
Moderation Process
Response Timelines
- Urgent threats (physical danger, violence): Within 1 hour (24/7)
- Serious violations (illegal events, severe harassment): Within 24 hours
- Standard violations (spam, misleading events): Within 72 hours
- Low-severity concerns: Within 7 days
Moderation Actions
- No action (report determined unfounded)
- Warning issued to the reported user
- Removal of reported event listing or chat message
- Temporary account suspension
- Permanent account ban
- Report to law enforcement authorities
Reports are anonymous by default. The reported user will not be told who filed the report.
Emergency Situations
If you or someone else is in immediate physical danger, call emergency services FIRST. Police:
100 | Ambulance: 108. Do not wait for a response from Yanegi.
Personal Safety Recommendations
Before the Event
- Research the event — review the host's profile, number of attendees, and description.
- Check if the event location is a known public space.
- Tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going and when you expect to
return.
- Share your location with a trusted contact using your phone's location -sharing
feature.
- Do not prepay for events you have not thoroughly researched.
During the Event
- Meet in public places, especially for your first time at a new event.
- Keep your phone charged and accessible.
- Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, leave immediately.
- Do not accept food or drinks from strangers if you cannot verify their safety.
After the Event
- Report any concerning behavior using the in-app report function.
- If you experienced or witnessed a crime, file an FIR with your local police station.
Our Commitment to Safety
- We maintain a dedicated Trust and Safety team.
- We proactively monitor the Platform for high-risk content and patterns.
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement in investigations involving Platform activity.
You Are in Control of Your Data
Account & Data Deletion Policy

Account & Data Deletion Policy
This policy explains how you can delete your Yanegi account and personal data, what
happens after deletion, and what data may be retained for legal reasons. We are
committed to honoring your data rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act,
How to Delete Your Account
Open the Yanegi app and go to your Profile.
Tap "Settings" (gear icon).
Select "Account" and then "Delete Account."
Read the information about what will be deleted.
Confirm your decision by entering your password and tapping "Permanently
Delete."
Alternatively, email supportyanegi@gmail.com from your registered email address. We will process
your request within 30 days and send a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You will not be able to recover your account,
events, messages, or any associated data after deletion is confirmed.
What Gets Deleted
Upon confirmation of account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted
within 30 days:
- Your profile information (name, bio, photo, email, phone number)
- Events you created (listings removed from the Platform)
- Your attendance and participation records
- Your chat messages
- Your saved locations and location history
- Your app preferences and settings
What May Be Retained
- Records of events you hosted where a legal complaint or law enforcement request is
pending (up to 5 years or until legal proceedings conclude)
- Moderation records: Reports filed against your account and enforcement actions
taken (up to 5 years to prevent policy evasion)
- Transaction records: Retained up to 7 years for tax and financial compliance
- Law enforcement hold: If your data is subject to a court order at the time of deletion,
it will be retained until the legal obligation is resolved
- Anonymised or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you
Timeline Summary
- Account deletion confirmed: personal data deleted within 30 days

Disclaimer
Please read this Disclaimer carefully. It defines the limits of Yanegi's responsibility and your
acceptance of risk in using the Platform.
Platform as Intermediary
Yanegi is an online technology platform that enables users to create, discover, and join
events. Yanegi acts solely as an intermediary between event hosts and event attendees.
Any registered user may create and host events. Yanegi does not organize, operat e,
manage, oversee, or participate in any event listed on the Platform.
No Guarantee of Safety
Yanegi makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee of any kind regarding the safety
of events listed on the Platform. Real-world events involve inherent and unpredictable
risks, including but not limited to:
- Physical injury or death
- Sexual assault or harassment
- Robbery, theft, or other crimes
- Property damage
- Health and medical emergencies
- Psychological harm
Users who attend events do so entirely at their own risk.
No Guarantee of Accuracy or Authenticity
Yanegi does not verify or validate the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of event
descriptions, user profiles, identities, photos, or any claims made by users. Users are
responsible for independently verifying the legitimacy and suitability of any ev ent they
choose to attend.
No Responsibility for User Behavior
Yanegi is not responsible for the actions, omissions, conduct, or behavior of any user,
whether online or in person. Yanegi is not liable for:
- Harassment, abuse, threats, or assault by one user toward another
- Fraudulent behavior or financial scams carried out by users
- Illegal activities conducted at or around events
- Any harm resulting from content shared in event chats
- Any dispute arising between users, hosts, or event attendees
User Participation at Own Risk
By using the Yanegi Platform to host, discover, join, or attend any event, you expressly
acknowledge and accept that:
- You participate in events voluntarily and at your own risk.
- You have independently assessed the risks associated with attending any particular
event.
- Yanegi is not your guardian, insurer, or safety provider.
- Yanegi bears no responsibility for outcomes resulting from your decision to attend
an event.
Technical Availability
Yanegi does not warrant that the Platform will be available at all times, free of errors, or
uninterrupted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Platform at any time
without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Yanegi, its founders, employees,
agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential,
special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform,
attendance at events, or interactions with other users.
This Disclaimer forms part of the overall Yanegi Legal Framework and should be read in
conjunction with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.
Applicable When Payment Features Are Enabled
Refund Policy

Refund Policy
This Refund Policy will apply only when Yanegi introduces paid event features or in-app
purchases. Until payment functionality is launched, this policy is published for transparency
and advance notice.
Scope
This Refund Policy applies to any monetary transactions made through the Yanegi
Platform, including:
- Event entry fees collected by hosts through the Platform's payment infrastructure
- Premium subscription fees for Yanegi Pro features (if introduced)
- Any in-app purchases of virtual items, boosts, or features
Event Ticket Refunds
Cancelled Events
If an event host cancels a paid event, all attendees who paid an entry fee will receive a full
refund within 7–10 business days, processed to the original payment method.
Attendee-Initiated Cancellations
- More than 48 hours before event: Full refund minus a platform processing fee of up
to 5%
- 24–48 hours before event: 50% refund
- Less than 24 hours before event: No refund, unless the event is cancelled by the host
Events Removed by Yanegi
If Yanegi removes an event for violating our Terms or Community Guidelines, all attendees
who paid an entry fee are entitled to a full refund.
Subscription Refunds
- Monthly subscriptions: Refunds will not be issued for partially used subscription
periods, except in cases of technical error or duplicate charge.
- Annual subscriptions: A pro-rated refund may be issued for unused months if you
cancel within 14 days of purchase.
Non-Refundable Items
- Platform processing fees on completed transactions
- Subscriptions cancelled after the refund window
- Virtual items or boosts already applied or consumed
- Transactions where fraud or policy violation is reasonably suspected
